Frame & Plank Window Shutters for Exteriors

This is a beautiful window shutter that complements many exterior home or business styles. With the numerous available design variations and the option of adding calvos nails and strap hinges, these exterior shutters will give your home facade a unique architectural adornment.

They are crafted with Western Red Cedar for the stiles and rails, and EXTIRA® board for the panels. The stiles are 1.375″ x 2.75″, with a top rail height of 2.34″ and the bottom rail height of 4.5″. The panels are .75″ V-groove set inside the frame with neoprene spacers to allow for expansion and contraction. These window shutters are perfect for any exterior application that you require of them.

The Western Red Cedar is an evergreen coniferous tree that grows to heights of 65-70 meters with a base of 3-4 meters.

Some of these trees can live over a thousand years. The size of this tree and the age to which it can live are testimony of its natural durability, which comes from the presence of thujaplicins (a naturally occurring fungicidal compound), and thujic acid that make it more resistant to insect attack.

Western Red Cedar is also known for its light weight, soft brown color and straight grain. Such characteristics make this wood a pleasure to work with and well qualified to be a choice material for exterior shutters.

At Shutter Revolution we use the highest grade (Export R List 401,) clear vertical grain cedar in the manufacturing of our shutters.
